I like to break it down so it doesn’t seem like so much. Once I hit my additional 5 in May I’ll see how I like it and either strive for another 5-10 more or add more weight training to my routine. I talk about the actual pounds a lot but I’m more concerned with muscle tone. If im 180 with a low body fat percentage I’m completely fine with that
Yea, the numbers discourage me sometimes because my body composition changes but the scale, not so much. I think losing 5lbs a month is realistic but I’d hate to get to the end of the month and not hit five. That’s the discouraging part 😒
I’d been missing the 5lb mark each month for years so now that I’m actually able to see results if I end up a pound or two short I’m okay with that. I had an IUD for years that caused me to gain and retain weight so now that I’m off of it and my body Is getting back to normal its fine with me if I’m not hitting those targets perfectly
I’m happy with any weight loss results. At the end of the day I’m happy because I’m further than where I was before. I don’t usually give myself weight goals, but last month I very lazy so I needed a push
Hi, You are doing great! And 20 pounds in that time frame is completely rational! So many people place these crazy goals on themselves and then are unhappy when it doesn’t happen-you seem to really have your head on straight, and if you loose a little less or a little more you are still winning the war!

Thank you! I try to be as level headed as possible, I don’t want to be disappointed in the end but if things don’t go exactly as planned I will be okay. I didn’t gain this weight over night so I don’t expect it to come off quickly and however many pounds I lose is a step in the right direction

I haven’t made specifics on the numbers yet , just overall by the end of April I want to be 20lbs down.
